Coffee drips into a pot
It’s aroma floats on the nose
It’s earthy, caramel, wood-like scent
Lingers on my clothes
And Morning’s light streaks through glass
The Moon’s time has come to pass
And golden skies
Alight my eyes
Yes, Morning has come again

Time has stopped for a little while
As others lay in bed
In quiet comfort, I am awake
While thoughts swarm in my head
And birds’ song delights the ear
Like nature’s own little cheer
And wind is free
In rustling trees
Oh, Morning has come again
