Oh the things I wish you knew
That could save your heart that was askew
That could keep the innocence that went and flew
Maybe I could bring it back to you

No, the past cannot be changed
No matter what, it can’t be arranged
At least now, what was once deranged
For happiness, it’s been exchanged

Oh the things I wish you’d forgotten
Of malice and taint of which has begotten
A disease that brought my soul to rotten
And desolate my mind and heart have gotten

Yet I would still not change a thing
Even though the memories sting
To each tear, I will cling
Because I lived through everything
